How it works

From application to certificate

Here is the complete journey — what you do, what we do, and what you receive at the end.

The full process

01
You apply

Complete the application form

Start by filling in your name, email address, and creative discipline. Then provide the title of the work you want verified and a description of your creative process — how you approached it, what decisions you made, and how it developed.

The process description is important. You do not need to write an essay, but the more clearly you can describe how the work was made, the stronger your application will be.

02
You submit evidence

Attach your supporting evidence

Evidence is what allows us to verify your application. You can submit links to cloud-stored files — Google Drive, Dropbox, Figma, GitHub, or anywhere else — or upload files directly.

Useful evidence includes earlier drafts, source files, process photographs, handwritten notes, screen recordings, or any time-stamped record that shows the work developing over time. You do not need all of these — even a few pieces of evidence can be sufficient.

03
We review

Our reviewers examine your application

Once your application is submitted, our reviewers examine everything you have provided. We are looking for the marks of a genuine human creative process: iteration, decision-making, revision, and the kind of evolving, imperfect thinking that machines do not produce.

We do not judge the quality of your work. We are not a competition, a prize, or an award. We are only verifying that a human being made it.

We aim to complete our review within 5–7 working days of receiving your application.

04
We decide

You receive our decision

If your application is successful, we issue your certificate and badge immediately and notify you by email.

If we need more evidence before we can make a decision, we will contact you to explain exactly what is missing and invite you to resubmit. There is no additional charge for a resubmission.

In the rare case that an application cannot be verified — for example, if the evidence is insufficient and no further evidence is available — we will explain our reasoning clearly.

05
You receive your certification

Your certificate, badge, and public record are issued

Successful applicants receive four things: a verification certificate, a unique verification ID, a permanent entry in the Human Verified™ public record, and a Human Verified™ badge to display wherever your work is shown.

Your certification does not expire. Once issued, it is a permanent record of the fact that your work was made by a human being.

Using your badge and certificate

Your Human Verified™ badge and certificate are yours to use wherever your work appears. Here is how creators typically use them.

On your portfolio or website

Display the badge alongside the verified work on your own site. Link it to your public verification record so visitors can confirm its authenticity independently.

On platforms and marketplaces

Include the badge and your verification ID in listings on stock libraries, creative marketplaces, print-on-demand platforms, or anywhere else you sell or license your work.

In client proposals and pitches

Attach your certificate to proposals, briefs, or commission agreements to demonstrate to clients that your work is independently verified as human-made.

In submissions and applications

Include your verification ID when submitting to publications, galleries, competitions, or residencies that require or prefer human-made work.

On social media and in press

Use the badge in posts, announcements, or press materials when sharing or promoting the verified work. Your unique verification ID allows anyone to look up the record.

In print and physical materials

Include the badge and verification ID on printed editions, packaging, labels, or physical products associated with the verified work.
