What you receive

Everything that comes with your certification

When your application is approved, you receive four things: a certificate, a unique verification ID, a permanent public record, and a badge. Here is exactly what each one is and how to use it.

Your four deliverables

01

Verification certificate

A formal PDF certificate confirming that the specified work was made by a human being. It carries your name, the title of the work, your unique verification ID, the date of certification, and the Human Verified™ seal. It is suitable for printing, framing, or attaching to a portfolio.

Attach to a client proposal or brief
Include in a press kit or media pack
Submit alongside a gallery or exhibition application
Add to a printed or digital portfolio
Frame and display in a studio or workspace
02

Unique verification ID

A permanent alphanumeric ID assigned to your certified work. Anyone can enter this ID on the Human Verified™ website to confirm the certification is genuine. It ties the certificate and badge to a specific work and a specific creator.

Print it in the colophon of a book or publication
Add it to the caption or metadata of an image
Include it in a product listing or shop description
Reference it in a contract or licensing agreement
03

Permanent public record

Your certified work is added to the Human Verified™ public registry. The record shows the creator name, work title, discipline, and date of certification. It is permanently accessible and independently verifiable by anyone — buyers, commissioners, publishers, or audiences.

Link to it from your website or portfolio
Share it on social media as proof of authorship
Direct commissioners or clients to it for due diligence
Include the link in a bio or press release
04

Human Verified™ badge

A digital badge in SVG and PNG formats, sized for web and print use. The badge carries your verification ID and links directly to your public record when used online. It is the most visible signal that your work has been independently certified as human-made.

Display on your website or portfolio homepage
Add to the footer of client emails or proposals
Include in social media profile bios
Embed on a product page or shop listing
Print on packaging, labels, or physical products

How to display the badge

The badge is most effective when it appears close to the work it certifies. Here are the recommended placements and a few rules to keep the certification credible.

Recommended placements

Next to the work on a portfolio or gallery page
On the product listing for the certified work in a shop
In the footer of your website, linking to your public record
In the about or bio section of a creative platform profile
On printed materials — books, prints, packaging — near the work

What to avoid

Do not apply the badge to work that was not certified
Do not alter the badge artwork, colours, or proportions
Do not remove the verification ID from the badge
Do not use the badge to imply certification of an entire body of work unless each piece has been individually certified

Where to use the certificate

The certificate is a formal document. It carries the most weight in professional and commercial contexts where a buyer, commissioner, or institution needs documented proof of human authorship.

Client and commercial work

Attach the certificate to a project handover pack to confirm the deliverables are human-made.

Include it in a licensing agreement where the buyer needs assurance of human authorship.

Publishing and editorial

Submit alongside a manuscript or illustration to a publisher that requires human-authorship confirmation.

Include in a submission to a literary agent or editorial team.

Galleries and exhibitions

Attach to an exhibition application where the gallery requires proof of human creation.

Include in the documentation pack for a physical or digital exhibition.

Competitions and awards

Submit with an entry to a competition that prohibits AI-generated work.

Provide as supporting evidence in an awards application.

Yes. You can display the badge anywhere you choose, provided it is used in connection with the specific certified work and the badge artwork is not altered.

If we cannot verify your work from the evidence submitted, we will tell you exactly what is missing and invite you to resubmit with additional evidence. There is no additional charge for a resubmission.

Yes, provided all creative contributors are human. Please describe the collaboration clearly in your application and provide evidence from each contributor where possible.

We assess each application on its merits. Minor use of AI tools as a reference or productivity aid does not automatically disqualify a work. What we are certifying is that the creative authorship — the ideas, decisions, and execution — is yours. Be transparent in your application about any tools used.

Yes. There is no restriction on when the work was made. As long as you have sufficient evidence of your creative process, historical work is eligible.
